Being a social golfer and an avid traveler, planning a travel to US and at the same time, paying pilgrimage to some of the best golf courses in the country is always one of my top travel wishes. The home to PGA tour, United States of America is overloaded with many top ranked golf courses designed by top legends in golfing history such as Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. Having said that, US is simply too large a country to visit in a short golfing break, and careful shortlisting of few of my favourite golf courses has become a prerequisite.

My top selection is Arizona. Arizona is one of the US state in West Southern part that features many unique desert golf courses in its 3 popular golf destinations of Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tucson. With the gorgeous red rock mountains, famous National Parks, spectacular desert scenery and the abundance of world-class golf courses, Arizona is definitely a desert paradise for any avid golfer, including me.

The Phoenix-Scottsdale golfing resort corridor is surely the hot cake, but only within 2 hours away, Tucson is also great for providing even more natural desert golf courses while being home to some of the best and world famous medical and health spas. Some of the best courses in Tucson are Tom Fazio’s design work at Ventana Canyon, Arnold Palmer’s at Starr Pass or Jack Nicklaus’ at La Paloma. In between Tee-off times, I can plan for hikes in natural scenery or just kicking back under the stars.

Beside playing golf on the US mainland, the next golfing destination that I’m dying to Tee-off at is Hawaii. Hawaii is the newest of US’s 50 states which located some 3200km West Southern off the US mainland. Hawaii’s famously lush green mountains and coastal cliffs make it one of the most visually dramatic and unique golf destinations in the world. With a temperate island climate, golfers can enjoy their round of golf throughout the year in Hawaii.

Hawaii is made up of 8 main islands. Each island has its own unique characteristic and breathtaking scenery, which make selecting the different golf courses in Hawaii difficult. For travelers throughout the world, Maui represents the perfect vacation. And for golfers, its doubly so, as this Hawaiin Island paradise comes with countless golfing options to make it a golf packagers dream. Offering golf courses such as the Wailea Golf Club, Makena and Ka’anapali Maui gives golfers a chance to shine while enjoying the scenic view of the island. Apart from the lush beauty one normally associates with Maui, the it also offers the state’s only 54-hole courses, in Wailea and Kapalua golf resort.

With Arizona and Hawaii being shortlisted, I will need to start practicing my golf swing in driving range and hope to better my handicap card before stepping on the greens of those world class golf courses. – Travel Feeder, your ultimate photo travel guide to US

Planning a holiday to United State of America (US) is always one of my travel wishes since childhood and still remains as my dream to come true. Part of the reason why is because low cost airlines in my region has still not introduced any flights to US, which made traveling to US a more expensive options, if compared to Europe or Australia. However, being one of the top travel destinations in terms of annual visitors received, US is definitely one continent that I wish to explore in one of these years. One of my favorite city in the US is off course the home to Walt Disney World and Universal Studio, the Orlando city, Florida.

My children are growing up so it’s time now to plan a family holidays abroad. If you ask any kids where they would really love to visit, the answers are always around those theme parks like Walt Disneyland, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, or Wet ‘N Wild. Though you can visit these parks in many countries around the world now, but visiting them in their home ground is something I would prefer.

Orlando city is a large and famous travel destination in Southern USA. Having a subtropical climate, the Orlando and Lake Buena Vista region typically offers warm sunny days and mild nights and temperature rarely top over 40°c or drop below 0°c over the year, which is pleasant and the most preferred weather by tourists worldwide. While attractions in Orlando are also the family travel’s favourite. Families come here for various theme parks in Walt Disney World and Universal studios, many recreational gardens, international standard golf courses, museums as well as shopping malls.

Among them all, Walt Disney’s flagship resort within its empire, the Walt Disney World Resort is definitely the hottest venue for all families. Comprising four theme parks, two water parks, two night time entertainment districts, 1 state-of-the-art sports complex, dozens of hotels, two shopping and dining districts, five golf courses, and much more, Walt Disney World is believed to be the largest privately owned tourist destination on the planet.

Families can get a Disney Tickets Florida to grant access to the World of Disney World Resort and various theme parks. Visitors can discover all the enchanting tales and magical adventures at Magic Kingdom, explore the wonders of the universe and the diverse cultures of the world around at Epcot, and join Animal Kingdom which features naturalistic live animal exhibits alongside more traditional Disney amusement rides. For movies lovers and Hollywood’s fans, Disney’s Hollywood or MGM Studios is a ‘must-go’ to meet your favourite movie characters and recall some of the classic scenes in Star Wars, Indiana Jones and the Beauty and the beast.

After exploring those amazing parks, kids and families could also take a cool break and plunge straight into those popular water parks include the wild, wet world of Disney’s Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon water parks.

For me, the best option in my travel planning to Orlando is always to stay in one of the Disney World’s themed hotels and play a round of golf in the morning while my wife taking children to the theme parks! – Travel Feeder, your ultimate photo travel blog

Guest Post

The USA has a stunning amount to discover, so why limit yourself to one location? Get twice as much out of the country with a twin centre break or combine it with one of its more laidback neighbours like Mexico or the Caribbean.

1) New York-Las Vegas

Surround yourself with high culture and noble pursuits in the Big Apple. New York is home to museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim, and you can watch some of the world’s best opera and classical music. Intersperse these refined activities with some top notch shopping, a restorative walk in Central Park and a sampling of sensational gourmet innovations at one of hundreds of restaurants, and you’ve got yourself a well-rounded city break. You can indulge your less highbrow side in Sin City, where the neon and noise of the casinos beckon and the pleasure principle is all that matters. Cocktails, late nights and some of the best shows in the world are your oyster in magical, mesmerising Las Vegas.

2) Los Angeles-San Francisco

The sprawl of Los Angeles is home to a thousand adventures in itself, from celebrity spotting around the Hollywood Hills to the thrills and spills of Disneyland and the sun-soaked sands of Malibu and Venice Beach. Spend a cinematic time exploring the diverse neighbourhoods, the cities within the city. Take to the highways to get around and rub shoulders with the big spenders in the boutiques of Beverly Hills, bar hop with the hip and happening in West Hollywood and chow down on authentic dishes in Chinatown. San Francisco is virtually a village compared to its vast Californian neighbour. If you have no pressing concerns, you can even see a lot of the city on foot, from the iconic Golden Gate Bridge to the funky shops of Haight Street and the tourist draw of Fisherman’s Wharf. When you need to rest your feet, you can stop and relax in serene Golden Gate Park, or take in the views from Nob Hill.

3) San Francisco-Hawaii

There are gourmet delights to be found around every corner in San Francisco, and the city enjoys its reputation as a foodie paradise for good reason. The restaurants have attracted some of the world’s most talented chefs, who work minor miracles with the fresh, organic produce so prevalent in this part of the world. As well as a huge Chinatown, you can fill up on Mexican in the Mission, French in the Financial District or Pacific Rim in Pacific Heights. Make time for day trips to the famous wine and food regions of the Napa and Sonoma Valleys, both an easy drive from San Francisco.

4) USA-Mexico

There are few places in the world as modern and bustling as the great American cities. Pick any major metropolis for a host of modern architecture, soaring skyscrapers and attractions that spin out the latest technology. Try downtown New York, Chicago or Los Angeles for glass and steel giants that nose ever upwards, many with public viewing platforms for spectacular panoramas across the city. Or if recent history is more up your street, head to historic towns such as Boston or Washington, where the beginnings of this great nation are on show, or New Orleans, where colonial neighbourhoods still exist in all their glory. Of course, combining your US trip with a jaunt to Mexico can take you even further back in time. Try a few days exploring the splendour of Chichen Itza or the Mayan ruins at Tulum, hundreds of years old but still jaw-droppingly impressive. After a historic adventure, you can always take time to revitalise yourself with a few days sipping cocktails by the perfect beaches of Cancun.

5) USA-Caribbean

Finding lively nightlife isn’t too much of a problem in the US. New York has some of the finest cocktail bars anywhere, many of them in the great hotels, but some of the newer ones in unassuming buildings that hark back to the days of the speakeasy. Going out in LA is more to see and be seen, but there are still some legendary bars, from the hi-energy retro scene at the Dresden to the infamy of the Chateau Marmont. If you have the energy, you can stay up until dawn in the 24 hour bars of the French Quarter in New Orleans, and in sultry Miami, you can dance to Latin beats until the wee hours in beachside clubs. After all that exertion, what better way to unwind and recuperate than in your perfect beachside spot on a Caribbean island? Whether you choose long time favourites such as Jamaica or the Bahamas, or go for up and coming destinations such as Grenada or the unadulterated romance of St Lucia, you can find white sands, a hammock and a glass of ice to fill up with rum.

Two of the busiest airports in America are JFK and Newark Liberty International. You can grab a flight to the city that never sleeps here:

http://www.netflights.com/cheap-flights-to-new-york-from-london-heathrow.aspx

http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/index.jsp

Newark Liberty International Airport
Lying part way between Newark and Elizabeth, New Jersey, it is just fifteen miles from Manhattan. As well as serving almost all the states in the USA, it also serves most of the more popular European countries including Heathrow, London, England.

Access to this airport is easy as it’s connected by a monorail network which links it to the main New Jersey transit line. It takes just 45 minutes to get to from central New York, and if you want to head to Midtown, it will cost you a mere $15 this way. An alternative way to get to Manhattan from here is to take the Olympia Express bus, or to hire a car from one of the five car hire firms located here. If you really want to travel in style, you could splash out on a stretch limo for $150.

If you have a little time here between flights, then the Statue of Liberty is just a 16 minute drive away, alternatively, Newark has plenty of restaurants serving a wide range of international cuisine including Italian, Mexican, Parisian and of course traditional American steaks and cheeseburgers.

There are a number of hotels that are conveniently located, including a Marriott hotel on side, and the Hilton Newark Airport hotel, and Renaissance Network Airport hotel just a few minutes away. Many of the local hotels offer complimentary shuttle services to their customers.

JFK Airport
The John F Kennedy International Airport is just twelve miles from Manhattan, and lies on Long Island. This is the busiest airport in the country, and over ninety airlines fly in and out here. Built in the 1930’s it has eight terminals, and excellent transport links offering buses, trains, taxis, hire cars, and even helicopter access via the East 34th street heliport.

Many international visitors pass through this airport, and every luxury you can think of that might alleviate the stress of travel can be found here. There are plenty of restaurants to eat in from fast food places such as Burger King and Dunkin Donuts, to more upmarket restaurants such as the Vin Volo Wine Room and Deep Blue Sushi. There are beer gardens and a cocktail lounge too.

Many diverse shopping opportunities are also available including many well known stores such as Borders, and a number of high end retailers such as Bvlgari and Cartier, and you could even book yourself in to have a ten minute manicure or your shoes shined before you leave.

A number of New York’s best loved attractions are close by and it is easy to reach the New York Hall of Science, Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge and Queens Museum of Art easily from here.

If you’re planning a stay, then there are dozens of well known and well established hotels close to the airport. Comfort Inn JFK, Courtyard by Marriot and Jamaica Days Inn are three which are less than a 10 minute car ride away and offer superb quality. – Travel Feeder, your ultimate photo travel blog

Typically when one thinks of Hawaii it is of lush greenery, pristine shores, seascapes and romantic sunsets. But if in search of solitude, Waikiki is not the place to be. On the promenade one shuffles along with the tourists, while taxicabs and trolleys motor back and forth in between the high-rise hotels. The east side of Oahu is beautiful, and there is plenty to be said for the mountains and valleys that dominate the north shore. But still the island is a bit too hectic. Instead you can head to the quietude of the beautiful of island of Maui.

From Honolulu to Maui is an easy, thirty-five minute flight. Upon landing at the airport you can rent a car for as little forty-five dollars. If you drive toward the south shore of Maui, and up along the west coast, you will arrive a harbour-front town that is known as Lahaina (Lah-hy-ee-nah). Here you’ll find fishing and dive charters, as well as waterfront bars, art galleries, and plenty of top-notch hotels. Lahaina also has excellent restaurants with incredible ocean views.

In Paia (Pah-ee-ah), a small town on the north shore, you will find a much different atmosphere. Paia is known for its hippies, surfers, health food and yoga fanatics. If you want to surf some serious waves, hit Paia’s Ho’okipa Beach, but if you just want to relax on the sand then go to Baldwin Beach Park. The town is also known for its laid-back bars and music. Charley’s is popular for its food, its booze, and its classic rock and roll.

If you want to make a day-trip then take the famous Road to Hana. The road is a one-lane highway that traverses Maui’s north shore. Because the north shore of Maui rises to a steep and flourishing rainforest, the Road to Hana is slow and meandering, running fifty-two miles over waterfall gullies and dramatic, scenic bridges. Along the way you can stop at several incredible points of interest, such as The Seven Sacred Pools where you can hike, swim, and jump from waterfalls. There is also a black sand beach as you near the town of Hana, where you can walk through caves that have cut out but the ocean tides.
