Can’t help but I have to heat up further the South Africa’s FIFA World Cup 2010 fever here! Tonight (my local time at 10PM) my favorite Brazil will hit the ground against Netherland in the 1st Quarter final match. 56 matches had have their results and there are still 8 matches to go before the last team to clinch the World Cup 2010. After 11th July, FIFA World Cup would be over but the heat will still remain. What could we do after that to prolong the heat further?

The best way is off course to stay behind and start exploring the Africa soil. The best Safari holidays includes driving up to gold mining town of Pilgrim’s Rest with many beautiful waterfalls and unique flora, having picnic lunch, explore Bourke’s Luck Potholes, God’s Window, and the stunning scenery over Blyde River Canyon, the famous Kruger National Park where you’ll head out on game drives, spot the big ’5′: elephant, lion, leopard, rhino and buffalo. Besides the Kruger Park, other wildlife concentrated areas such as Swaziland hills, the wetlands of St Lucia, Hluhluwe with its high concentration of rhino are also worth to explore.
To further heat up the 2010 FIFA World Cup fever at the moment, our guest travel addict, Andrea Perullo is here to recommend 5 travel attractions of South Africa to those who are visiting South Africa:

Several years ago I spent 3 weeks in the rainbow nation of South Africa. It was my first time traveling in the African continent and each day was filled with one grand adventure after another. Everyone asks me what my most memorable experience was and while it is impossible to choose just one, there were some that made the journey that much more special.

Here is my Top 5:

Safari in Kruger Park. While you are not guaranteed to see the “Big 5” during your safari outings, there is a strong possibility, as the park is saturated with wildlife. I was lucky and saw all of them on my 1st day out in the bush. The joy you will get when spotting an animal in their natural habitat is indescribable!

Climb Table Mountain in Cape Town. Table Mountain stands in the middle of Cape Town and is surrounded by beaches and wine vineyards. The hike will take you around 2-4 hours depending on your athletic ability. There is a cable car you can take if you do not feel like walking, however the reward at the end of the hike is worth the sweat. At the top is a 360° view of Cape Town and within seconds you understand why it considered the most beautiful city in the world.

Cage Dive with Great White Sharks in Gansbaii. This is probably the craziest and most dangerous experience you will ever have in your life, but not only will you be able to brag that you swam next to one of the world’s deadliest known predators, you will also have the thrill of a lifetime. Up close and personal these scary creatures are quite majestic and even though your heart will be racing, afterwards you will proud of yourself for having the courage.

Visit Soweto Township in Jo’berg. While shanty towns exist all over the country, the largest and most well-known one is Soweto. Here is where you will find the pulse of the heart of the nation and where the culture still thrives. It will touch your heart and soul and you will understand South Africa much better.

Tour Nelson Mandela’s jail cell on Robin Island. No trip to South Africa is complete without a visit to the country’s most infamous prison due to the involuntary residency of Nelson Mandela for 27 years. While, it is no longer a prison today, it acts as a monument to the freedom struggle during the apartheid era, a period that will never and should never be forgotten.

When she is not treating patients, she is exploring the world or dreaming of the next place to visit. She also writes travel features for MNUI Travel Insurance and blogs at My Beautiful Adventures.

For the last 6 months, since Year 2010, I’ve been adding new travel tips, travel guides, experience or my travel photos to my travel photo blog at least once in 2 days, and it never missed (Except only when I was traveling Europe in May for 2 weeks)! But I’m facing the biggest challenge in my blogging habit since 2 days ago. My regular posting schedule is at risk! Why? South Africa’s FIFA World Cup 2010 had just started on 11th June 2010!!

For 1 whole month until 11th of July, 64 matches between 32 countries would be played in 10 stadiums of 9 cities of South Africa, including Cape Town and Johannesburg. All matches would be played at either 1:30pm, 4:00pm or 8:30pm, or in my local time at 7:30pm, 10:00pm and 2:30am! I’m a big fans of World Cup and I’m going to sacrifice a lot of my sleeping hours! What about my blogging schedule?

I’m going to challenge myself for this 1 whole month of not dropping any articles in Travel Feeder and I’m striving to update my blog at least 3 times a week! How can I do that?

Thanks for all the supports from all the people around me, I have lots of motivations for me to keep adding new tips, guides, experiences and travel photos. Of course, the biggest inspiration of all, is my passion in travel and photography! They keep me moving ahead. They keep me traveling to more places in the world and taking more photos. They keep me blogging here to share my knowledge with the rest of the world, especially my loyal readers.

To win over the challenge from World Cup 2010, I have to kick start my travel stories in Europe at the same time! So stay around and don’t switch over to your TV life World Cup matches! Until then, I’m going to catch the 8th match between German and Australia later… – Travel Feeder
