Time passes so fast. It has been slightly more than a month since Travel Feeder was created in June 2008. While it is still fresh, I really appreciate comments from all over the world that would inspire me more to improve the quality of this travel blog. For a 1-month-old travel blog, Travel Feeder has successfully posted 23 original articles on Travel Tips, Travel guides, Summer Travel Experiences, Top 5′s of Travel and so on. Out of that,  over 60 positive comments have been received from all over the world, not to mention reviews from other travel blogs. It is extremely encouraging with those comments and reviews and I’m totally flattered. It just strengthened Travel Feeder’s Motto: Maximize Our Travel enjoyment, Minimize Our Budget and Enrich Our Limited Holidays.

As part of Travel Feeder’s ‘Top 5 Of The Month’ series, we decided to summarise and list down here the Top 5 Travel Feeder’s Commentators Of The Month for August 2008, to have a little appreciation move for my great travel community. Here are the Top 5:-

  1. Eunice – She is Travel Feeder Top Commentator! She inspired me the most as she is my loyal reader of every post and commented 7 of them. I appreciated her great support all this while and here is one of her comment: ‘Wow! I didn’t know that there are 4 UNESCO sites in Malaysia! And 1 is on the way…Travel Feeder heheh. One of the most beautiful places on earth is actually so near to us! Good, since it’s so expensive to travel around, I think it’s time for us to appreciate the little beauties around us! I am looking forward to your next Top 5! Thanks for sharing! :D‘. On top of that, I really felt proud as she is the author of a popular travel blog, Travelerfolio!;
  2. Heather Dugan – She is my second top commentator so far, and she is cathing up. Here are some of her comments: ‘I’m glad to have found your site! The Moscow and Seoul photos are especially good; great lighting!”Good list. Mine also includes my camera, batteries and charger… and running shoes (”necessities” that I can’t/won’t buy on a trip). I’m not as thorough on the phone numbers. I bring the ones relevant to a current trip but probably need to keep one with some of the other numbers you mention as a printable computer list.’. She has a great blog as well at HeatherDugan.com;
  3. Mark H – He is my great supporter as well. Here are some words from him:’I like the idea of “top 5″ and wish you luck with your blog.”i have been to three of the five cities and I agree that they were very expensive in comparison with other cities. Great Moscow photo.’. For more stories from Mark, he is running a travel blog called Travel Wonders;
  4. Renny BA – I really glad to have his gracious comments. Here are some words he said:’Great advice of important things to bring on trip. Maybe one should had: A Map for helping you wondering around on new places ;-)‘, and he is from Norway. For those who wants to visit OSLO and Norway, you should visit his blog, Trella.no, and
  5. Air Travel Tips – The author of Karannaidoo.com (the site is no longer existence as of 2011), his comment just made me unsleepable: ‘I found your blog via Google while searching for air travel tips and your post regarding New Features of WordPress V2.6 looks very interesting to me. I could not believe the amount of quality material on this site. The site is extremely eyecatching and pulls the reader straight it, the articles are great quality and are very professionally written. I have seen too many of these sites where it looks like they pay an 8 year old to do the writing – Not this one. Your site is easily the best that I have seen in a long while.’

Comments are open for all my readers, either positive or negative, and comments are important to Travel Feeder for its continuous improvement and upgrades. Though there are only Top 5 commentators listed above, all other comments are also unforgettable and inspiring that I hope I could include all of them here…. :)Travel Feeder, your ultimate photo travel blog

Piazza Navona

I have been receiving overwhelming response on my first part of the story -Top 5 Cities to travel in Europe, London but, where are the rest of the 4 cities?

“Are you trying to make a mickey out of me?” I apologize for that. Let’s continue on the Part 2 of the story and this time I’m going to let you know the full top 5 Europe cities list for travel. However, only 1 of them to be fully elaborated for the ease of reading, and she is ROME. The Top 5 Europe Cities To Travel are:-

  1. Londonread more earlier;
  2. Paris – read more later; :(
  3. Prague - read more much later; :(
  4. Venice – read more the latest, and
  5. ROME – read more here.

Spanish StepsROMEIf you are a big fan of Roman Empire, or fans of movies such as Rome, Troy, The Da Vinci Code, Gladiator or fan of nude potrait (statue or painting), or even if you are wondering who created the David statue, ‘The Last Supper’ painting, ‘The Creation of Adam’ or Pieta; Big fans of fashion, Georgio Armani or Versace, then you could find all your answers here in Rome.

Since 753B.C., Rome is one of the oldest and most significant civilization in human history. The most interesting part is, you could discover most of the Rome historical sites within walking distance. They are so concentrated. Once you step out of their Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport, and grap a copy of the tourist map of Rome, you would see the city centre is full of tourist landmark and historic building (you may try scrolling around this satellite view)View Map. That is why Rome was inscribed by UNESCO as heritage city. With Millions of visitors every year, there are no secrets of her popularity. It is all about good contents! You could imagine that only great contents of a blog could attract traffic from all around. And it is why I would strongly recommend travelers to travel Rome by themselves, or engage a Free and Easy package, or backpacking and you would search for hostel through Travel Feeder side search panel.

Since Rome is one of the most reputable historic site of all, you could only appreciate more of her if you spend some time to study her history. Although Italy is a well developed country and Rome contributes substantial income to Italy, you will notice many of the road users are motorcyclist (and they are not wearing safety helmet!).

How to explore ROME? Here are some simple guides:

  • Once you settle down to your accomodation, which is partly located in town centre, you could start walking. The first landmark you would notice must be the Coloseum, opposite the Roman Forum. Further down the road is the Trevi Fountain through the Piazza Del  Popolo and Campidoglio square where you could find Michelangelo’s David statue; Another famous tourists hang out is the Spanish Steps located further in front where you could have a break;Trevi Fountain
  • While walking, you should explore every corner, try every local food like Gelato, drink every local beverage like drinking coffee in one of the oldest cafe, Antico Caffe Greco;
  • Then you could do some shopping around Piazza de Spagna. ROME is famous for not only historic feature but is also the shopping paradise. Other than fashion, stoneware also tops in the world like mosaic insert and platesand also paintings. Remember to get form for tax rebate of up to 33% of price you bought;
  • Via Condotti – Easy to find Street begins at the base of the Spanish Steps, this is Rome’s poshest and most prominent shopping street. Even the recent incursion of some less elegant stores hasn’t diminished the allure of Via Condotti as a consumer’s playground for the rich and super-rich. It’s a great place for window-shopping and people-watching;
  • Not enough? Rome is giving away an extra City for you to explore, the Vatican City, once acclaimed the smallest country, a surrounded-by-Rome independent sovereign state, where you could witness the Pope of Catholic at the St. Peter Basilica and square and also the classic ceiling painting “The Born of Adam” created by Michelangelo, and
  • Forget about the public transport in Rome as you could reach most of the hotspot of Rome by walking, unless, you have enough time and budget to take a train from Termini train stations (one of the biggest station with 29 platforms!) and leave ROME for Florence or Milan.

I just could not finish writing about Rome’s tourists attractions. There are many more historic architecture’s which are definitely worth a visit and I can tell you that 7 days just wasn’t enough for me to fully explore ROME – Travel Feeder.
