Travel Destination

I’m kick starting this mini project, codenamed “From Travel to Photo”, here on Travel Feeder. It is going to cover the step-by-step guide mainly on how budget travelers could plan their dream vacations to Europe, one of the most sought after travel destinations in the world. Series of articles concentrating on this subject will be posted under a separate category title named as “From Travel to Photo“. So keep updating yourself by watching this space regularly if you are new to planning a trip to Europe by your own self, and wish to realise your travel dream without burning holes in your pockets.

First, we have a brief Introduction on how to plan a photo travel to Europe, without joining the expensive all-inclusive travel package. Please read on…

Traveling to Europe is indeed a dream come true to most of us. We have been falling for those European classic scenes shown on TV’s or magazines for a long time, and admiring those friends who have been there before. It is also the ultimate tour for avid photographers who are tired of flipping through other photographers’ portfolio in Europe, desperate to shoot Europe photo images for their own portfolio.

Unfortunately, having limited time and money, especially with the growing economic crisis and tumbling market nowadays, this dream seems to remain as dream to many of us.

However, with our utmost passion in travel and photography, we should not put it off our next travel wishlist. And we should not be let down by the crazy price tag of those All-inclusive travel packages to Europe either. We should start thinking of a way. We should plan something out ourselves in order to realise our dreams.

There are in fact many cheaper options we could choose to travel Europe in style. One of the ways is to plan the Europe tour package by ourselves. If you know the ways, you can realise your dream, any time, just like me.

I’ve been traveling to Europe twice for the last 2 years. I have fulfilled my childhood dream, not once but twice. I was just the same like most of you a few years ago, who thought traveling to Europe is luxurious. Not any more. With technology advancement in this internet era where the world has virtually become borderless, while people all over the world are making friends and chatting over Facebook, planning a budget travel to Europe is indeed a breeze.

Unlike 10 years ago when we had limited internet access and limited budget airline options, we can now book everything online prior to our actual travel and we can check everything regarding Europe travel online, easily and quickly! Most importantly, we have cheaper options in our transportations. Budget airlines have been playing a major role in the air travel market since last few years and now we can fly to Europe with unbelievably low fares!

Having said that, we still need some know-how info before we can actually plan for and achieve a truly budget travel to Europe. And this is what I’m coming in for. Even though there won’t be any fixed procedure in planning a Europe trip, there are still some guidelines that I can share here to those who doesn’t know where to start from.

Here are the main elements of a travel plan you should start looking at:

  1. Time of travel – When you are planning to fly;
  2. Period of travel – How long you are going to travel;
  3. Budget – What is your maximum budget;
  4. Transportation – Options of international and domestic transport;
  5. Accommodation – Options and places to stay on travel;
  6. Places of interest – Tourist attractions on your travel destination;
  7. Things to do – tourist sites, foods to try, things to buy and so on;
  8. Packing list – What should you bring along your travel;
  9. Photo gear – Don’t forget your photo taking equipment and should you bring along your tripod or flash, and
  10. Companion – Who are you traveling with?

Continue checking this blog will get you some useful travel info on when, where and how to start planning your trip, booking your transportation, flights and domestic trains, booking your accommodations, booking your entrance passes and even scheduling your period of stay just to capture the golden moment of your dream destination under the perfect time of day or year with your cameras. You can be your own travel planner!

I will explain the process of planning part by part in my upcoming articles. So keep watching this section of my blog! Before that, you are start warming up a bit by reading some of my Europe travel tips here in my blog. Guest post by Hannah Copues Hitting Cape Town during its peak summer season, we were more than slightly worried about where the money for our accommodation was going to come from! Needless to say, the pressure of finding a cost effective, yet still an appealing option did nothing for our blood pressures. That’s what happens [...]

While I’m still tidying up my travel stories in Barcelona, why don’t take a look in advance at photos that I took in Barcelona? This is a photo of the tourists popular destination of Casa Batlló. This unique architecture really stands out from the rest with its curvy structures and mosaic fascade resembling the features [...]

This is another snapshot I took while I was in Barcelona recently. Nothing to really shout about. I just found this reflection on the fascade of MareMagnum shopping and entertainment mall in Barcelona interesting and took this shot. Maremagnum is the major shopping complex of Barcelona situated in front of Barcelona waterfront of Port Vell. [...]
