Where have I been to during the Hari Raya Festive season? I brought my family down to Johor for a getaway to spend some wonderful time together. Legoland was out first stop. After our first visit in September last year, I revisited Legoland for the second time. Off course, a lot has been improved since last year. I’m going to feature this trip shortly in my upcoming posts.

After Legoland, on our second day in Johor, we spent a day in Desaru beach, one of the popular resort beach located approximately 88 kilometers east of Johor Bahru, on the South China Sea. Here is one of the images I captured with my iPhone 5…

Desaru is a very popular weekend escape for local Malaysian as well as visitors from Singapore. Desaru is not as heavily developed as other beach resorts in Malaysia. Eventhough not much activities can be found in the area, it offers a long and attractive 25 km stretch of sandy beaches which is hard to beat.

IPhone 5 captured 8MP image size originally. I resized it to about 5MP of the image size and did some picture noise reduction in Photoshop to make the image less grainy. That said, iPhone did produce a stunning image out of camera with great White Balance and spot on exposure.
