HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR 2011 !! Today is the 3rd day of Lunar New Year of Rabbit this year. As part of our regular new year holidays schedule, we went up to Genting Highland yesterday to …ehmm… try our first luck in Resort World. :) Beside that, I’ve captured some of the New Year decorations around the highland.

Genting Hotel always put up some interesting decorations in front of its main entrance. Last year was blossom flower bushes and this year is flowers made with recycled empty drinking water drums and bottles! The main cone resembling giant tree sits in the middle and smaller flowers are scattered around it. Too many people were shooting in front of it that there was no chance for me to capture a clean panorama view without including tourists! 6 frames were taken with my Nikon D7000 and I stitched them together to create this panoramic view of the whole scene with Genting Hotel as its back drop.

This second shot was taken inside the Genting Hotel public walkway joining both the indoor theme park and the hotel lobby. It is the false ceiling decorated with plastic blossom flowers and lit beautifully and attractive enough to worth a shot on it. I shot this photo handheld with ISO3200 which wouldn’t be possible without the D7000! :) For travelers who are visiting Malaysia during this festive season, make sure to pay a visit up to Genting Resort World to see these and all others.

Lunar New Year is the main festival celebrated among Chinese, just like how other people celebrating their Christmas and new year. So I’m still on my CNY celebration holidays currently… :)Travel Feeder, your ultimate photo travel blog
