Final week to visit the TPOTY Exhibition 2014 in London

For those travel photography enthusiasts out there who happen to be in London this week, here is a piece of news update for the Travel Photographer Of The Year event. The TPOTY exhibition at London’s Royal Geographical Society is going to end on this Sunday, August 17th, 2014. If you have not visited it yet, you have just a week to do so!

As always, entry to the exhibition is free, and you don’t need a ticket. Just turn up and enjoy! And if you vote for your favourite images while you’re there, you could win a weekend getaway for two in Paris!

The TPOTY Exhibition 2014 in London is open since July 11th, from 10am-5pm Sunday to Thursday and 10am-7pm Friday and Saturday. And it’ll be closing at 5pm on this Friday, August 15th, as there would be a final Enchanted Evening on that evening.

I’ve been to the exhibition once 3 years ago when I was in London and it was truly an exhilarating event that motivated a lot of travel photographers to participate the ongoing TPOTY 2014 competition. The competition will open for entry until 1st October 2014.

Enchanted Evenings – EXTRA EVENING ADDED!

See the exhibition with a little added magic! Enchanted Evenings are an opportunity to view the exhibition in a special way. Spaces are limited and admission is by ticket only. TPOTY judges will be there to talk to you about the images as you relax and enjoy the surrounding with a glass of wine. Bring your friends and make an evening of it.

While the session on August 13th has been fully booked, you can still book for the extra Enchanted evening on 15th. Tickets cost £6 per person, to include a glass of wine, or £12 per person, to include a glass of wine and a copy of Journey Six, the new book from Travel Photographer of the Year. You can make the booking on the TPOTY official exhibition page.

About the TPOTY at the Royal Geographical Society in London

One of the joys of doing well in TPOTY is having your images displayed at the TPOTY exhibitions and being seen by thousands, sometimes millions, of people.

The home of the Travel Photographer of the Year exhibitions is the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG). The Society’s gallery is situated close to Hyde Park on the corner of Kensington Gore and Exhibition Road, and adjacent to the Royal Albert Hall, in the heart of London’s museum area.

Vote and win a trip to Paris

When you visit the exhibition, if you vote for your favourite image you’ll be entered into a prize draw to win a trip to Paris with Railbookers. This city break to Paris for two will include accommodation at the 3* Hotel Sèvres Saint Germain, which is a charming traditional style hotel.

The hotel is located on Rue Saint-Placide in Paris’s famous left bank, and has four metro stations within a short walk from the hotel, allowing easy access to the Louvre and the Musée d’Orsay. Take in the sights and sounds such as the Eiffel Tower or enjoy a stroll through one of the world’s most beautiful cities.

All you need to do is complete a voting form (available at the exhibition) and deposit it in the voting box there.
