@lechua,
Yes. China is so big and all travel destinations there are great to visit and all have their unique characteristic and history. For the first time to visit China, I would suggest somewhere more significant like South Yangtze region which covers Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Nanjing, Wuxi and Wuzhen OR Beijing region (from Tianjin with AirAsia) where Forbidden city and the great wall are just enough to worth your time to visit there. After that, you may go back there to Guilin (for scenery), Chengdu (for cultural and panda), or Guangzhou (for chinese foods). :) Hope this may help.

hi cecil, with China as big as it is.. and the many destinations that air asia flies to from malaysia now, which destination would you recommend for a first visit to china - looking for a more traditional cultural and lifestyle experience of china (not tooooo remote for the first time)?
