The Vatican Museum, in Viale Vaticano in the Vatican City within Rome, is one of the greatest museums in the world. The museum has one of the largest art collections built up by the Roman Catholic Church throughout the centuries, including some of the most renowned classical sculptures and most important masterpieces of Renaissance art in the world. One of the reason why it is my favourite museum is the best collections from Michelangelo, my favourite artist and sculptor during the Renaissance era.

A trip to Rome would not be complete without paying a visit to Vatican Museum. Planning for at least 3 days in Rome with one full day spending your time in Vatican city and the museum is an ideal way to explore it to the fullest.
