It depends on the situation and country, but backpacking in the jungle with friends is a blast and going solo in a city is also a great way to absorb the culture.

Backpack or self traveler is not in my list. I prefer to go in a group and enjoy the company. In a foreign country, not knowing anyone, it give me the creep. But that’s me, if you enjoy, go ahead.

Ummm…let me see. I’m a:

–> Self-traveler
–> Extra budget traveler
–> Short term traveler
–> Also an avid photography hobbyist

I’ve met a backpacker from UK. Fresh from China (3 months)—> Thailand —> Malaysia (from Kedah, Penang, Pahang, Malacca all the way to Sabah & Sarawak) and then to Singapore. We had a wonderful chat! He was traveling for over one and a half years. Also a very very budget person. I wish I can backpack like him for one year long
