Definitely an expensive place compared to the SouthEast region (with the exception of Singapore)! But still, I did manage to buy some bargains...so it's a matter of knowing where to look and knowing what to buy. One problem though, accommodation is expensive! I’ve only visited Korea so far. In Seoul, food prices in restaurants and the street are reasonable, and there's a huge extensive subway system which isn't expensive. Tokyo is more expensive however still affordable if you take their public transport and eat at the right places I found Australia much much more expensive than Seoul or Tokyo, when it comes to eating and visiting tourist attractions!
