Hi,

We had the same thing back in 2009. We visited Langkawi in September during rainy season. We had 4 straight days of massive rainfall. The weather was so bad that we couldn't even leave the resort. Streets were flooded and taxi drivers didn't dare to bring us someplace nice. We also couldn't drive a motorbike (what we normally do). I made a movie of it; so you can the flooding at Telaga Harbor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5J3zkRQag4

Luckily; we too decided to head back there this January 2011. We had an amazing time; 5 days of sun :). Explored the whole island my motorbike; we had a fantastic time. Hope your next visit will be better too :).

Regards,

Ilya
