I couldn’t agree more on that. One should look for a good balance between seeing things with your naked eyes or through your camera viewfinder. I’m still striving to achieve one…

Hi there, thanks. I agree PS is not magic. It can’t correct bad composition. That’s why I put it to the last. However, if non of the other 4 could be achieved, one could still ‘try’ to savage some of the bad shots with dull colour, lighting and incorrect WB. My 2 cents…

Nice to get people reminded about all those 4 points. Nice post!

I just don’t agree with you in the last point. Because, if a picture is BAD already from the start, is PS also NOT able to do magic out of it. A bad picture stays a bad picture, sorry!

Photoshop does NEVER make a bad picture into a great picture.

If one is intending to travel and photograph at the same time, don’t forget to enjoy yourself. No point in shooting lots but not enjoying oneself.

I am okay with not shooting a certain landmark or famous place if the weather is not permissible or lighting is bad. I don’t like doing the touristy thing where you have to shoot every single place or thing that you have visited.
