Me and 4 friends will be backpacking europe from may 8 to july 11. We start in London and finish in Barcelona. The tentative plan is UK, Amsterdam, France, Germany, Greece, Italy(for 3 weeks) and spain.

I am wondering about a euro rail pass, that would allow for 10-15 travel days over two months for a fixed cost.
- Does this exist, and is it the cheapest way? Does a combination of Ryanair and single purchase rail tickets make sense?

How much should i budget for hostels. I am thinking about $25/night for fairly dingy accommodations.

And I am not sure what i could get by on in terms of food per day. any suggestions.

not including flights i am thinking about 4000 for the two months
