Konnichiwa (Hello)! Sumimasen (Excuse me)! These are the 2 Japanese words I’ve been using most for the past 8 days. You bet! I’m currently in Hakodate, Japan for my Cherry blossom viewing holidays! I have little time to update my blog and upload more photos of Japan as I’m too busy to explore Japan to its fullest!
Finally, in my hotel room today, I managed to upload this snapshot of Cherry Blossom shot in the previously fort turned garden, Fort Goryōkaku.
Golden Week holidays of Japan just passed today and was ended with extraordinary strong rain and Tornado tragedy that killed at least one teenager and 30 people injured in outskirt Tokyo. Coincidentally, we left for Hakodate yesterday from Tokyo. Weather in Hokkaido is better with less rain currently and I had a great time experiencing my first ever Cherry Blossom Hanami session in Fort Goryōkaku in Hakodate.
Until then, Sayonara!

Another snapshot on The Forbidden City of Beijing, China. I’ve posted some photos of it before, but this time we had a little Chinese lady dressed up like a princess to the Qing dynasty of ancient China as our main character!
Some EXIF info: Photo taken with my Nikon D7000 and Nikkor 10-24mm Ultra Wide Angle lens. Shot in Program Auto mode, with Shutter speed 1/100 Sec and Aperture f5.0. Focus distance was set to 20mm. ISO 100. Auto White Balance. No flash fired and +1/3 EV Stop being compensated with Matrix metering. The Photo was cropped, levelled, distortion corrected and sharpened with Adobe Photoshop Element 8.
This travel shot was made on my way up the stairs to the main hall of the Forbidden city when the little Chinese lady caught my attention in her attractive costume. She was actually just another visitor to the museum came with her parents. “She is so cute! Can I take a photo of her?” The answer was of course a yes.
I would hope to have swapped my Nikkor 10-24mm with a medium zoom Nikkor 18-105mm for better Bokeh, but the result was not really that bad either. Instead of a portrait shot, this was actually a combination of portrait and landscape photo. Having said that, the lady in front still draws most of the viewers’ attention. It proved that a great object can always compensate for slightly off composition in travel photograhy!

This is a photo snapped on my travel to Brussels last year. It is a monument named the Congress Column built in the 19th century in commemorating the formation of the Belgian state and constitution by the National Congress in 1830-1831. A rare 47m high Roman styled monument stood in close proximity to the large [...]
One of the main concerns in planning a holiday to Beijing is definitely to whether join an all-inclusive travel package from one of the local travel agents or, just book a flight and travel around the city by ourselves. Many are worried by the communication issues, conveniences issues as well as the proximity issues of [...]
