Louvre Museum Visitors Guide download

The Louvre Museum is one of the biggest museum in the world covering an area of 40 hectares (The Forbidden City of Beijing China is supposed to be larger with a covering area of 72 hectares but only small part of it is open for public as The Palace Museum). I love Louvre Museum very much . You should know this by now as I’ve posted several snapshots taken in there, The Mona Lisa, The Louvre Palace and the Venus de Milo, and the Travel by Photos to The Louvre is coming up next. Do come back and check for updates on this.

OK. So it’s a huge museum to explore. If you have plenty of time to spare, spend at least a whole morning or afternoon there. This shall exclude the time you would spend on taking photos outside, queuing up for entrance, buying books at bookstore inside. If you haven’t got that amount of time, plan your exploration route inside the museum well in order to cover all you’d love to see, at least. Once you have paid €9.50 for the entrance, you’d be given a copy of the museum visitors guide and floor plans. You can then plan for your journey inside. To make it even better and easier, I uploaded here the Visitor Guide of the Louvre museum for whoever planning to visit the museum a preview, so you can plan ahead!

I’ve visited the museum recently and the visitors guide is still with me. I scanned it into 4 pages and here there are… (Click the image to view it or download it in full size)

Above is the complete floor plan of the museum with some of the highlights in each floor. Below is the general information you would need to know about the museum such as the categories of collection, direction to get there, the admission and etc. A floor plan under the pyramid is also included.

The floor plan helped me a lot in utilizing my limited time in the museum. I hope it will help you too. 🙂 – Travel Feeder, your ultimate travel photo blog.
