While I’m still tidying up my travel stories in Barcelona, why don’t take a look in advance at photos that I took in Barcelona? This is a photo of the tourists popular destination of Casa Batlló. This unique architecture really stands out from the rest with its curvy structures and mosaic fascade resembling the features of a reptile! Designed by the famous local architect Antoni Gaudi, Casa Batlló is located along the famous upmarket shopping street of Passeig de Gracia.

It is colorful and attractive during daytime but I prefer its look during night hours when its textual and curvy lines are enhanced by carefully placed spotlights. This property is actually privately owned and walking tours visiting the interior are allowed during daytime. Tickets are sold at ground floor. Visit its official website for more info HERE. :)Travel Feeder, your ultimate travel photo blog

This is another snapshot I took while I was in Barcelona recently. Nothing to really shout about. I just found this reflection on the fascade of MareMagnum shopping and entertainment mall in Barcelona interesting and took this shot. Maremagnum is the major shopping complex of Barcelona situated in front of Barcelona waterfront of Port Vell. Port Vell is a touristic harbour with 2 marinas, Europe largest aquarium, shopping mall, IMAX cineplex and of course waterfront leisure park. It is connected with Barcelona’s main tourist area of La Rambla, which is a short distance away, with another pedestrian walkway, Rambla de Mar.

Mare Magnum reflection

You can actually spot me at the lower centre point in the photo, pointing my camera up to the large curvy glass fascade of the mall. I was standing on a wooden deck and a cafe is on my left (of course it appeared to be on my right from the reflection image). You can also see the waterfront facing the sea and the cable car station is at the opposite side. Also in the frame is the Montjuic mountain, the biggest park in Barcelona and one of the venue for 1992 Barcelona Olympic Summer games.

Sometimes it is good to take a shot on the glass reflection if the lighting is right, and the curve design could enhance the perspective view and the high angle did help me to have a clear aerial view of the Port Vell, without climbing up to the roof! :)Travel Feeder, your ultimate photo travel blog

Copenhagen is a vibrant city with excellent nightlife across each and every corner. During 1st weekend in June, Danish are coming out to town to celebrate nightlife with whole evening of street dance parties, mobile clubbing and contemporary art festival to welcome the arrival of hot climate of Summer. They called it the Copenhagen Distortion festival 2011. This 5-day-middle-size-street-festival stretching from first Thursday to Sunday of each June, is organized by the NUS/NUS company, a non-profit cultural event organization of Copenhagen. The festival is held on each day in different areas of Copenhagen with streets being closed for the event.

I have long heard of it and it was one of my reason to visit Copenhagen on my Europe Travel last month. I was lucky enough to have the 1st celebration of 1st June in the city centre around Stroget area, on my first day in Copenhagen. After checking into our hostel nearby, I grabbed my cameras out to take some travel photos for the festival.

Crowds started to draw into the Stroget and surrounding areas since 6PM. Jean and I were there strolling down street after street enjoying people watching with Tuborg in both of our hands. There are kiosks selling crepes and waffles all over the place. Not to mention mobile bar selling beers, mostly local such as Carlsberg and Tuborg.

Each club or bar has its own theme or idea of advocacy, as we saw groups of Danish dressed up differently and marched towards their spots of action. Some are dressed up as movie characters, death bodies, ballet dancers, and so on.

While the summer sun was starting to set, streets were getting packed up with people.

Not only crowds but bicycles as well were seen all over the streets. Copenhagen is one of the city outside China with the most cyclists around.

Everyone seemed to be having a great time in this festival of Copenhagen Distortion 2011. We enjoyed our time there as well, albeit it’s our first ever evening in Copenhagen. Here are some of the other photos that I captured in the festival, before having too much alcohol in my stomach and the sky getting darker.

Final words. Even though there were ten’s of thousand people flocking into the area for this celebration and made every streets jammed up, we felt extremely comfortable and safe partying around without any uneasy feeling and bad experience as tourists. Copenhagen is definitely a fun place for nightlife as a traveler. Thumbs up for this!! :)Travel Feeder, your ultimate photo travel blog

We ended our first day travel in Paris splendidly with an exciting day and night visit to the Eiffel Tower, as well as seeing the Sacred Coeur Cathedral both at day and night. On the second day in Paris, we woke up early, had our breakfast in hostel, and headed out to continue our Paris [...]

What you see here below is not a sneak preview photo from Terminator 5 movie with that T-1000 assassin made from mimetic poly-alloy liquid metal. Nor it is fracturing piece of glass. It is actually a fountain display in front of The Garden shopping mall entrance in Kuala Lumpur, which I  freezed it instantly with [...]
