Travel By Photos – Meeting Old Friend At SEORAE BBQ Gwangalli Busan Korea

The International Friendship Day fall on 30th July each year, which was 3 weeks ago this year. I recalled on the International Friendship Day in 2013, I made a memorial post on a couple of friends we met on travel. As I mentioned in the post, a friendship can weather most things and thrive in thin soil. It’s no harm in thinking of friends only when we need them.

Friendship can weather most things and thrive in thin soil, so is SEORAE BBQ

In the same post, there was this guy from Korea who taught me the correct way to enjoy Samgyeopsal meal. It was 8 years ago when we popped into his shop that didn’t carry any English menu. We met, chat, took photo, left and continued our own lives after that. Check out my earlier post on Gwangalli Beach and our late BBQ dinner.

3 years later, we went back to Busan, and to Gwangalli. Then I remembered the BBQ restaurant and the Korean friend and went back there again. It is now with not only English menu but also English shop name. Only then I knew the BBQ shop we had our best BBQ in Busan eight years ago was actually the early local version of now popular SEORAE BBQ.

Out of my expectation, I met my old friends again! Com’on friends! Let’s take a photo! Nothing was changed except our tummy! 🙂 Nonetheless, there are changes to the shop. Setting is different now. Though interior decor still not as lavish as those found in other overseas branches, the shop has now at least a more distinctive facade and signboard.

A large menu with pricing is now displayed at shop front with 3 languages, Chinese, English and Korean. An inevitable move to attract tourists.

The tables are now fitted with dedicated stoves. The exhaust hose still looked the same as before though. Time flies but the foods remain tempting. I’m not sharing photos of our dishes here as I had the same in my previous articles on Gwangalli Beach.

We had a great time in SEORAE BBQ Gwangalli once again, and a memorable 2nd visit to Busan. Stay watching this blog for more stories update on my travel to Korea. There are more stories on those tourists spots we missed on our first visit to Busan. Off course, check out stories on my first visit to Busan which are equally exciting to read. Let me know if I have not covered any popular destinations you would like to know. See ya! – Travel Feeder
