Happy 55th Anniversary of Malaysia Independence Day

Are you on your travel to Malaysia today? If so, you must have experienced a wonderful National Day today on 31st August 2012, when all Malaysian, be them Malay, Chinese, Indian, Iban, Kadazan or other ethnic groups of citizens of Malaysia, come out to celebrate the 55th anniversary of Malaysia Independence from British colonial ruling in 1957. It was also called as Malaysia National Day until 2 years ago when 16th September was announced as National Day of Malaysia to commemorate the actual date of formation of the Federation of Malaysia which was announced on September 16, 1963.

I’m not in Kuala Lumpur this year as I’m on my way down to Johor Bahru to celebrate the Day in Legoland! 🙂
