Travel Photographer of the Year 2015 -Winner-Image

An exciting piece of announcement from Travel Photographer of the Year 2015 awards.

Many, many congratulations to Marsel van Oosten! He has been selected and awarded as the Travel Photographer of the Year 2015! You can view his stunning winning images, and all the other winning entries, in TPOTY  2015 Winners’ Gallery.

Photographers from over 110 different countries entered the TPOTY 2015 competition, and entrants from 22 different countries feature among the award-winners, the youngest being just eight years old. We saw some fantastic images submitted this year; the standard just gets better and better! I have got a rain check for this year awards. Hopefully I would have the opportunity to enter their 2016 event.

2016 London exhibition

If you wish to view in person the collection of all the stunning award winning photographs, head over to London this Summer for the new exhibition venue, the splendid Museum of London Docklands. It is a beautiful building, steeped in the history of London as a trading and travel destination for centuries past, and a fascinating museum, and gives us an opportunity to bring the world to West India Quay and Canary Wharf. More details about what promises to be a wonderful exhibition will be announced shortly.

Thank you!

We would like to thank everybody who entered the Travel Photographer of the Year 2015 awards this year, and in particular thank all of our finalists, who worked so hard to get their prints, high resolution and raw files to us in time for the judging.

We would also like to thank our fantastic panel of judges, who gave their time and expertise so generously and had the hard job of choosing winners from a very, very strong selection of finalists, and thank you also to the Museum of London Docklands for hosting the final round of judging.

And we  would like to thank this year’s sponsors, Direct Photographic, Genesis Imaging, Plastic Sandwich, Photo Iconic,  Railbookers and StaaG for all their support for the awards.

Watch this space for news of TPOTY 2016, and further exhibition plans!
