Happy Hari Raya Aidilfitri and safe travel

Malaysia is a multi-ethnic, multicultural, and multilingual nation. Every year, all Malaysians regardless races jointly celebrate the three major festivals for Malay, Chinese and Indian, namely the Hari Raya Aidilfitri, lunar Chinese New Year and Deepavali. These are the peak seasons in local travel scene when a lot of domestic holiday activities carried on among local people. While Chinese lunar new year and Deepavali holidays fall on February and October respectively, Hari Raya Aidilfitri this year is just around the corner!

After a month long of fasting period (Ramadhan month), Malaysian especially Muslim in Malaysia will celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri or Fast-Breaking Festival this coming 28th of July 204.

Expectedly, this coming week would be a golden week for all Malaysian when holiday season is reaching its peak. A lot of local people are flocking in and out of cities for holidays or Balik Kampung (Return to village) where a massive exodus and heavy traffic are expected.

If you are coming to Malaysia for holidays during this period, try to AVOID INTER CITIES TRAVEL where motor highway, rail and air traffic are expected to be badly congested. Otherwise, be patient and stay calm when you need to take public transportation to other travel destinations across this little peninsula.

For travelers traveling along PLUS highway to other parts of the nation, below is the Travel Time Advisory table suggested by PLUS the ideal time of leaving your departure points.
