If you wish to enjoy your travel to the fullest, start travelling like a local. Sounds like a challenging task, but all of us can achieve it to an extent. The more you travel like a local, the deeper you can go into the society of the country you are traveling to and experience their people lives. Why should we do so? Ask yourself this simple question: Do you feel more comfortable being at home or abroad?

Travel Like A Local is a new category of this blog sharing collective tips on how we could travel more like a local. We are going to start off with this, the simplest and most effective way to travel like a local: Travel as you work or study in that country. How could we act more like a local than really stay there and be a local?

It is getting more popular among travelers especially younger generation to work and study abroad and travel at the same time, or rather travel abroad for a few months while taking up temporary works or short term study at one of the local institution. I have come across friends who actually doing so.

As we all know, to actually understand a country or city’s culture and life, we need to travel and stay there as long as possible. While it is next to impossible for paid employees to take a long leave from their current jobs, young and avid travelers will choose to quit their current full time job and travel to their dream destination for as long as they wish!

How to survive without a job? There are many options out there. You can either enrol into one of the short term course such as language, design, business courses for a few months to a year, or apply for an overseas job to become an expatriate. What you need is a student or work Visa and that’s it. Global Visas is an expert in applying visas for the purpose.

Last but not least, if you are keen on blogging, the most exciting way is to start up your travel blog and start getting sponsorship while you are sharing your expatriate experience abroad. Isn’t wonderful? – Travel Feeder
