Travel Photo – Vivid Sydney Harbour Bridge Lighting At Night

I’m finally back from Sydney! In conjunction with the Vivid Sydney 2019 event, I took over a thousand pictures on my 10-day Sydney vacation. Though not all of them worth or suitable to be shared here, they indeed keep my travel memories intact. I hope I can share more of them here in the short future!

After sharing my travel photos taken in Tokyo, here is one of my many night images shot during Vivid Sydney in Sydney Harbour.

Harbour Bridge Sydney at night-4K

I captured the above photo with Nikon D7000 and Nikkor 35mm prime lens attached and on tripod. Photographed in fixed Aperture mode, with Shutter speed 20 sec. Aperture f11.0. Focus distance was fixed at 35mm. ISO 100. Auto White Balance. No flash fired and +1.0 exposure value being compensated with Matrix metering. This photo was post processed with Adobe Photoshop Element. View the full size photo in my Flickr albums.

I captured the Sydney Harbour Bridge at night from Circular Quay. The main focus of this photo is off course the iconic man made marvel, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, canvassed over with artistic light projection.

If there’s one place in the world where inspiration shines bright, it’s Vivid Sydney. Returning for its eleventh year from 24 May – 15 June 2019. Vivid Sydney is Australia’s most loved and awarded festival brings together light artists, music makers and brilliant minds to share their creativity with you.

Illuminated Sydney Icon

Vivid Light illuminates Sydney’s skyline with Lights On! from 6pm each evening. As the Lighting of the Sails unfurls across the architectural wonder of the Sydney Opera House, weave your way along the Light Walk around the harbour front and the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, and venture to Sydney Harbour, Barangaroo, Darling Harbour, Circular Quay, Luna Park Sydney, The Rocks, Chatswood and Taronga Zoo to brighten up your winter nights. Check out the light installations and projections from the official Vivid Sydney website here.
