Aloysius Church

This church is famous for its architecture and immense interiors. The church was constructed in 1880 and was built by Jesuit Missionary. Inside the chapel, most of the walls cover the paintings of Antonio Moscheni, an Italian artist. Various Christian saints are featured in the paintings for whose restoration and maintenance is looked up by a special committee.

Pilikula Nisargadhama

This tower was constructed by the stones of 23 churches that were destroyed by Tipu Sultan. Sultan battery looks much like a fort than a watchtower. There is a storage area located underground where gunpowder was once stored. You can see the beautiful view of Arabian Sea from top of the tower. This place is a mixture of both natural and man-made beauty. You can also find several boating clubs near the place.

Surfing Ashram in Mulki

Surfing Ashram in Mulki is a very different place from other centres. The place is located on the distance of 30 kms from the north of Mangalore city. Devotees follow their daily routine of rituals of meditation and puja. All the rituals are performed at this Hare Krishna Ashram which was established by American guru in the year 1963. Although people come across to surf here. The time which is best suited for surfing are the months between May to June and September to October. As this is a place of worship, there exist specific rules that visitors need to follow. During the time of stay, none are allowed to have alcohol or non-vegetarian food.

Gokarnanatheshwara Temple

Another must see a location in Mangalore is Gokarnanatheshwara temple which is mainly dedicated to Lord The temple was built in Dravidian style. The temple is built at the height of 60 feet high and is decorated with stucco figures. Exquisite rock carvings and sculptures add beauty to the temple.
