Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2013

Selamat Hari Raya aidilfitri to all Muslims around the world who celebrate the Festival of Breaking Fast today, after a month long of fasting without eating and drinking from sunrise to sunset, during the Ramadhan month in Islamic calendar. Hari Raya is one of the most important celebrations in Malaysia, together with the Chinese New Year and Christmas.

This reminds me of my story on the lemang, a popular food during the festive season, which is featured in wikipedia about lemang.

Ketupat and Lemang

For non Muslims in Malaysia, this coming 2 days are public holidays. coincidentally, it falls on the school break this year. So for students, they can celebrate Hari Raya holidays for at least 10 days. I’m taking this opportunity to plan for a short getaway down to Legoland Malaysia, and hope to snap some pictures during our family outing!

See ya next week and more stories on my Korea trip will back in action. Once again,

HAPPY HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI!
