Travel Snapshot- Tamsui Fisherman Wharf in Taipei

Tamsui-Fisherman-Wharf

Located in Western tip of Tamsui district of New Taipei, one of the top 10 places to visit in Taiwan, Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf is well known by its beautiful sunset, fresh seafood, Lover Bridge, Taiwanese version of Love Lock fence and other sightseeing leisure facilities.

Tamsui or Danshui started as an important fishing harbor in Northern Taiwan and is still holding its functionality today.

One of the popular scenes of Tamsui Fisherman Wharf is no doubt the Lover Bridge, which cross over the wharf from the harbor to jetty. A lot of couples come to this scenic spot during weekend or sunset to take photos or leisure walks.

My snapshot being shared here is not the Lover Bridge though. It is actually a black and white image of a jetty at Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf that extends out towards the end of the riverbank, which is also a popular viewing platform overseeing the East China Sea. The idea of converting it into a black and white image came from my depressing mood after reading the news of Malaysia Airline MH17  flight a moment ago…

Hope you like it and do comment if you are any!
