Travel Snapshot – Cherry Blossom in Fort Goryokaku, Hakodate

Cherry Blossom season has come to an end in Japan by now. I am lucky to have experienced the Hanami (flower viewing) for Sakura two weeks ago in Hakodate, Northern city of Japan in Hokkaido island. With my careful planning, I was able to catch the full bloom of Cherry Blossom in one of the best Hanami spot in Fort Goryokaku of Hakodate.

The result? Look at the photo below. This is what I called a perfect catch of full bloom!

Some EXIF info: Shot in Aperture Priority Auto mode, with Shutter speed 1/640 sec and Aperture f4.2. Focus distance was set to 32mm. ISO 100. Auto White Balance. No flash fired and no exposure being compensated with Matrix metering.

The weather during my visit to Japan was a mixture of clear and cloudy sky with intermittent sunshine and rain falls. It rained in the early morning but we got some sunshine later at noon hours when we were in the garden. So my collection of images taken in the garden has 2 different effects in response to 2 different natural lighting conditions.
