Go to the TPOTY 2012 exhibition while in London

Watch out or look for this road sign when you are there in London for the London Olympic games starting this Friday! Exhibition Road is where the Travel Photographer Of The Year 2012 Exhibition held.

Exhibition Road

The home of the Travel Photographer of the Year exhibitions is the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG). The Society’s gallery is situated close to Hyde Park on the corner of Kensington Gore and Exhibition Road, and adjacent to the Royal Albert Hall, in the heart of London’s museum area.

The exhibition is open for public from 22nd June until 19th August 2012, which means travelers and photography hobbyists coming to London for the Olympics will at the same time have the opportunity to visit the TPOTY 2012 exhibition. Admission is FREE. The exhibition is open from 9.30am-5pm (Monday to Saturday) and from 10am-4pm (Sunday).

Travel Photographer Of The Year 2012 is a photo contest open for all traveling shutterbugs who wish to showcase and expose themselves to the public which has good worldwide recognition since 10 years ago. Every year around this time there would be an exhibition to display all the winning images from the previous year’s contest. The closing date for submission this year is 17th September 2012. Hurry up! Go traveling and shoot some amazing photos!

I’ve been there last year to visit the exhibition and shoot a photo of this “road sign”. If you are coming for the Olympic games, make sure to drop by, which is opposite the Hyde Park south exit and just a few roads away from Knightsbridge underground station and the Harrods. 🙂 – Travel Feeder, your ultimate travel photo blog
