Second MATTA Fair 2013 is here – Plan your holiday now

Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents fair, or MATTA Fair, is here again for the second time of this year. The twice annually travel event is taking place at the Putra World Trade Centre, KL, from yesterday until tomorrow, 6-8 September 2013. What could we expect from this event this year and which travel destinations am I looking at?

We should expect major discounts on all types of travel packages, from fully guided tour, Free and Easy tour to ground tour. Airlines are also giving away discounted airfares during the event. Destinations highlighted should still be cities around Asian countries as they are remained popular among casual travelers and tour prices are relatively cheaper. Among others, Taiwan, Korea and Japan would be the 3 top destinations expected in the event.

This round of time, I’m targeting for a holiday package to Taiwan. I’m not a fan of these fully guided tour packages. What we could gain from MATTA fair is some ideas of popular travel itineraries and estimated travel costs that we could refer later on when we plan for a FIT (Free and Independent Travel) travel. So I’m going to gather some information on Taiwan travel before seriously sitting down in front of my PC planning my own trip.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not against any of these packaged deals. There are situations and conditions that could influence your choice of travel types. If you are traveling with your boyfriend or girlfriend, or in couple, FIT would be the perfect choice. That said, if you are traveling in a large group of your family members with both children and elderly, joining all-inclusive guided tour could be a better options. They have individual markets. The choice is yours and no right or wrong decision, just a different experience.

I will report further after visiting the MATTA fair later on today. See ya. – Travel Feeder
