Do you take time or make time on travel?

We literally spend a lot of time from planning a holiday to actually touch down the destination. But once our flight departed, how do we spend our time on travel? Should we take time or make time on travel? A lot of people are trying to squeeze in enough time on travel so they can visit more tourist sites. Likewise, some others may dawdle along their travel or killing time doing shopping. But does either of them make any good?

I used to spend a lot of time planning for (trying to plan for) an immaculate vacation travel, so we can save more time on travel to cover more attractions. My past experience proved me wrong. It would be a lot more memorable to take your own sweet time to explore a single tourist spot, than rushing deliberately from one spot to another just to make time for the planned itinerary.

Vacationing is meant for enjoying ourselves in an exhilarating environment, be it a relaxing walkabout trip or a stimulating hiking trip. Neither of them could be fully enjoyed if we are against time doing them. The less itinerary you have planned, the more experience you will gain on travel.

London travel - spend time or save time on travel

Eventhough we understand that we have limited time to spare for a holiday, it doesn’t mean that we will have to save time on holidays. If we have only 3 days to spend in a city, it is not necessary for us to briefly explore the whole city in just 3 days. Instead, it would be more rewarding to stay and explore a single or 2 neighborhoods, rather than the whole of the city.

For instance, London is a huge city and is impossible for any travelers to be able to explore whole of it in 3 days. Not even a week. Instead of doing it in a speedy manner and get nothing in return, why not staying in, let’s say, Westminster area, and explore the Greater London fuller by strolling for 3 days? You may find clueless at start but will shortly realize that you have more experiences to share about London insights to friends and relatives. You may read more of my London guide here.

Follow this philosophy: Always take more of your own sweet time on travel, not before travel.
