Top 5 Vegas Hotels at a glance

Las Vegas is one of the most tourist-friendly places in the world with a huge variety of casinos to fit all budgets and tastes. Here are five of the most critically-acclaimed places to stay, and a little about them.

The Wynn

One of the most expensive hotels in the central Vegas area, the Wynn was built on the site of the old Sands Casino and is a place of pure luxury. The black and gold building’s 2700 rooms and suites have options for floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Strip, while the resort itself has two pools, and eighteen hole golf course and a massive range of cuisine options. Their own spa is equally for men and women, and has its own barbershop on site.

Caesars Palace

Now nearly fifty years old, Caesars Palace and the Colosseum is one of the more popular luxury hotels and has continued to expand to include the Forum Shops, the Pure nightclub and the Roman Baths-inspired Qua Spa. With 3400 rooms in all there is no shortage of options for style, size and location of rooms, although a pool-side room would be best if you prefer the idea of lounging and playing online gaming on your phone to dealing with the harsh lights and loud noises of the casino floor.

The Venetian

A truly flashy venue, the building of The Venetian is made from green stone from the Italian Alps, and aims to replicate Venice down to the bridges, canals and marble columns. Many of the rooms have sunken living room areas and luxurious Roman marble bath tubs, and when you’re completely relaxed from the Canyon Ranch Spa Club, you can visit the contemporary American restaurant Postrio, owned by the famous Austrian chef Wolfgang Puck.

Bellagio

Right on the Vegas Strip, the synchronised water fountains thankfully mask the casino from the hustle and bustle of the Strip goings-on. The 4000 Tuscan-inspired rooms feature Italian marble bathrooms and contemporary suites, but the real win for grown-ups is the adult-only Cypress Pool which has chaise longues, daybeds and chilled towels for a sophisticated stay.

Mandarin Oriental

Quite possibly Vegas’s most understated hotel, the elegant Asian-inspired building is fronted by bamboo and bonsai gardens and manages to combine traditional elements with an up-to-date resort experience. With only 392 rooms it’s a lot more serene than many of the other casinos, with much better service and big bathrooms in even the smallest of rooms with free-standing bath tubs; for the tech-lover, it has bedside touch-screen panels to control almost everything in the room from lighting to entertainment to your curtains. The 23rd floor glass-enclosed Mandarin Bar looks out over the Strip, and of course there is one of the best hotel spas in Vegas.

That’s the top 5 Vegas Hotels at a glance. If money is no option, there are some incredible hotels to choose from, either directly on the Strip or a little further away. All you have to do is decide what you really want – a huge room? A spa? An adults-only area? Take your pick. – Travel Feeder
