Guest Post

We all have that bug of spontaneity in us that sends us packing at a moment’s notice. Your boss gave you an unexpected day off? Your spouse just announced a new addition to your family? Your child has received a prestigious award? Whatever the cause, we have all felt the urge to pack a bag and just get away from it all, whether in celebration or in desperate need of relaxation. But it’s not always as simple as just packing a bag! If you’re looking to take a last minute trip to the Caribbean, there are some things you will need to keep in mind.

1. Research Travel Arrangements– If you can find a spare moment, do a quick search for travel arrangement prices! While some airlines will charge extra for last minute vacation tickets, there are others who are desperately trying to sell seats. On these airlines, you can get tickets at a ridiculously low price! If you’re desiring a last minute vacation to the Caribbean, be sure to look into travel arrangements before you go. You may find plane tickets, hotels, and dining deals for much less than you originally expected!

2. Consider A Cruise– One of the best ways to experience the Caribbean is on the deck of a cruise ship. Imagine yourself soaking in the sun and listening to the gentle toss of ocean waves, all while being waited on hand and foot. Leave your cell phone in the cabin- your boss can’t reach you here! If you’re looking for a a few days away from it all, last minute cruise is a great way to do it! Additionally, many cruise lines plan for last minute vacationers and have a number of cabins available up until the day of the cruise- again, at rock bottom prices. What’s not to love?

3. Go Off-Peak– Sometimes spontaneity really is best! It’s a well kept secret that hotels, airlines, and cruise ships are less crowded during the week. This means that, in addition to being much more budget- friendly than travelling on a weekend or holiday, you will also have more hotels and dining venues to choose from- not to mention the best spots on the beach for all the sun-soaking you can handle!

The Caribbean is a beautiful place to visit any time of year, and if it’s a last minute vacation you’re looking for, they undoubtedly have what you need! Whatever has made you desperate for a vacation, whether it’s celebration or the need to escape, you’ll find pleasure and passion in the warm caress of the Caribbean sun. What are you waiting for? Pack a bag and hop a plane today; what have you got to lose? 🙂 – Travel Feeder, your ultimate photo travel blog
