Breakfast at No 6 Restaurant in Patong Beach

My friend asked if there are any good and cheap food joint which I found in Patong Beach, just like Rainbow Cafe in Kuta Beach. I thought of Jungceylon food court at first but later on remembered there is another great choice along the Rat U Thit Road next to Bangla Street. We supposed to have dinner there but it was packed with customers with long line waiting outside so I decided to go back there on the next morning to try their breakfast. It is the No 6 Restaurant in Patong Beach.

It is not the 6th ranked restaurant in Patong, but No.6 is just the name of the restaurant. There are other restaurants named after numbers such as No. 9, No.8 and so on, it could be the lot numbers of their shops.

In fact the restaurant is small and the deco inside is really simple, with not many tables, some pictures hanging around and a small wooden bar counter. I took these photos more than 2 years ago so it should look better or different today.

I read it somewhere that they have now another bigger No.6 Restaurant branch up hill nearby, which can be reached by regular shuttle service provided by the original No.6 restaurant.

It is famous for its good tasting local Thai foods with reasonable price tags. Even local people comes to here for lunch and dinner.

Eventhough the menu is quite limited, but they all look mouth watering and should taste good (I didn’t try them all off course).

If you are staying along Patong Beach near Bangla, you should come here to No6 Restaurant for your first meal in the morning when there are still not many people. There are not many people on the street in the morning and most shops are closed because most tourists and local people wake up late after a wild night! 🙂 – Travel Feeder, your ultimate travel photo blog
