Winter holidays to Central Florida

Getaway from the devastating Sandy storm hit areas in North Eastern US, planning for a holiday to Central Florida during Winter is surely the best options out there. Central Florida is one of my favorite city in the US as it is the home to Walt Disney World,  Universal Studio, and Daytona International Speedway.

My children are growing up so it’s time now to plan a family holidays abroad. If you ask any kids where they would really love to visit, the answers are always around those theme parks like Walt Disneyland, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, or Wet ‘N Wild. Though you can visit these parks in many countries around the world now, but visiting them in their home ground is something everyone would dream of.

The central region of Florida state, the most South-Eastern state of US, Central Florida offers year long warm tropical weather with sunny days and mild nights that rarely top over 40°c or drop below 0°c over the year. With this temperate weather, the Central Florida is the world capital of theme parks as there are no less than 15, including 6 Walt Disney World parks and other household names such as Universal Studios, SeaWorld, Legoland and Wet n Wild.

Not only for children, there are plenty of entertainment for parents. Ybor city is one of the largest entertainment center in Tampa, famous for its many nightclubs, pubs, restaurants, shops, cinemas, museum and market. Every Saturday from 9AM until 3PM in Centennial Park, travelers can go to the Saturday Market where you can find local-grown produce, arts, crafts, and local food.

As tourist attractions are scattered around the region and well connected to each other via interstate motorways, Central Florida is best to be explored by car. There are many car rental companies across the region. If you are planning to fly in to Central Florida through the Tampa International Airport, there are Tampa car rental services available right in the airport.

While feeling sorry to the victims of the disastrous Sandy storm in New York and New Jersey further north, we should continue travel to other parts of US to show our support as a traveler, just like what happened to Japan a year ago when I supported them by visiting Japan twice during this year! 🙂 – Travel Feeder, your ultimate travel photo blog
