I’ve talked about earlier on how you could sell your travel photos and raise some money for your next travel through istockphoto. I have joined istockphoto sonce February 2009 and have 42 photos uploaded and approved so far. With the strict requirement of istockphoto, those photos captured by my Panasonic Lumix FZ28 could not be accepted unfortunately. Compact camera’s smaller image sensor size creates noise in most of its photos which are unaccpetable as stock photos. :( Unless I reduce the image sizes to about 70% of its original which I’m a bit lazy to do for each one of them, I used my Nikon D60 instead.

After having 42 photos in my istockphoto’s portfolio, I love to post my top 5 istock photos so far here for your comment. These 5 photos were captured in RAW by my travel camera- Nikon D60 and were processed and uploaded to istockphoto since I joined last February.

“Fortunately”, these 5 photos were picked and downloaded by interested buyers last 2 months. And off course, I earned some royalties for each downloads. Just comment on these 5 photos if you like to. You may love to download them for your perusal or screensavers…

The other great reason to submit your photos to istock is that they will review all your photos for whatever defects like artifacts, lighting or composition. This will improve your photography skill a lot! At least it is what happening to me…. :) You may love to follow me to become a photo contributor of istockphoto.
