The addiction of travel

Traveling is a leisure activity. We travel for our holiday to getaway from our boring daily routine, be either a relaxation vacation or a challenging outdoor escapade. No matter which way you like it, once experienced, you can never stop! You will wish to travel more and more! Some may call it a hobby, I call it an addiction to travel, as I’m totally addicted too! Friends always refer me as a travel addict and I could not agree more! 🙂

Why traveling is so addictive? Don’t ask me why, but I always start planning my next trip right after my holidays, and some were even planned on my flight home from travel! Perhaps traveling has been giving me so much pleasure and memories that no other hobbies could.

Here are some outcomes arisen from traveling that probably get me addicted to travel:

1) Perhaps traveling to different countries can grant me the opportunities to take lots of photos at beautiful travel sites of different destinations, that let me share, blog, and talk about them endlessly, or sell them as stock photos to earn money for my next travel, hence get me addicted.

2) Perhaps traveling to different cities to try various authentic local foods from their origin can satisfy my craving for food, and let me share and blog about them excitedly, and get me more addicted.

3) Perhaps traveling to different countries can let shopaholic such as Jean to get ecstatic for being able to shop for their fancied fashion in that particular country of origin, and made your travel companion addicted too!

4) Perhaps traveling can get me away from boring work routine and stressful life in reality. Such psychological effects make us do something on travel that you will never do it in your home country. Think about visiting flea market, art museum, theme park, catching a bus or overnight train, strolling down streets after streets, how often you do these things back in your home country?

5) Perhaps traveling could let us spend restlessly which is certainly more fun than earning money from our jobs!

Or could it be the other way round? Could my addiction of travel created all the above interests and hobbies? Could it because I love to travel, I start picking up photography, blogging, shopping, walking, hiking and spending? Maybe, or maybe not. Who cares? As long as I still have the desire to travel around the world, I will continue to be inspired to shoot photos and blog about travel.  As long as I have the time and money, I will keep traveling. Without much time and money, I will still keep traveling! 🙂
