If you want to get away from it all, why not try relaxing in Cyprus for 2 weeks? This beautiful Mediterranean island has year round sunshine and can offer something for everyone. Whether you want beaches, countryside villas or bustling resorts, you will find it in Cyprus. It is ideal for families, couples and groups of friends who simply want to get away from the normal routine of their everyday lives.

Cyprus has a whole range of resorts to choose from. These include lively towns such as Paphos, with cafés, bars and restaurants, as well as shops, hotels and buzzing night life. Some of the resorts are great for families, with lots of activities for kids, while others are more suited to those who want to dance the night away. Try the party city of Ayia Napa, with its numerous nightclubs, for a dazzling social scene. There are also luxury resorts, where you can relax with spa treatments, or enjoy a few rounds of golf.

Beach lovers will find miles of sandy white beaches, especially on the east coast. These are some of the cleanest beaches in Europe and are very safe, making them perfect for families. You can soak up the sun, or have a go at water sports such as snorkelling and diving. Either way, you will have a great time relaxing in Cyprus for 2 weeks on the beach soaking up the beautiful vistas of sun, sea and sand.

If you prefer the countryside, there are lots of small towns and villages to stay in, particularly on the west side of the island. Whether you choose an old walled town, a small historic port or a village in the beautiful tree covered hills, you can be sure of a friendly welcome. You can relax as you enjoy a traditional way of life, with nothing more to do than to enjoy a stroll to the local taverna, or to sip wine with the locals in a tiny café in the town. However, if you are feeling energetic, the countryside is excellent for walking, especially in the spring, when it is carpeted with flowers and you can enjoy the beauty of the olive groves scattered throughout the island. The island country of Cyprus is also packed full of historic sites to visit.

Whatever you choose to do while you are relaxing in Cyprus for 2 weeks, it is sure to involve food and wine. You can enjoy Greek or Turkish meze style meals, or a whole range of international cuisine. Wash it down with a glass or two of local wine, or traditional Cyprus Brandy, and you will soon be entertaining thoughts of coming back and planning your return visit! 🙂 – Travel Feeder, your ultimate travel photo blog
