The alluring Peru as a fantastic travel destination

Peru, an once sacred and secluded country to me, has just proved its attractiveness as a fantastic travel destination.  Eventhough a lot has been read and learnt about Peru, South America is a continent that is too far and isolated to be reached from the other side of the globe, until recently. When PromPeru, the Peru’s export and tourism promotion agency, created a video to promote its Marca Peru campaign, namely “Peru, The Empire Of Hidden Treasures”, it had me started to scratch my itchy travel feet and tempted me to really think about planning a trip to Peru.

Located along the West side of South America, facing South Pacific Ocean and backed by the Andes mountain range, Peru is a country full of archaeological and natural resources. Among the many UNESCO’s Heritage Sites that being inscribed, Machu Picchu is perhaps the most iconic archaeological site in Peru. Machu Picchu is the ruin site of an ancient Inca city, located over 2,000km high in the Andes.  With 10,000 years of civilization history, Peru has one of the largest networks of archeology found in the world.

I’d never know Peru has so much more to offer than the historic Machu Picchu mountain heritage site. With the video took me on a journey through ancient ruins to a world of luxury and retreat, I know booking a flight to Peru is not far from me. The most enticing part to plan for a trip to Peru is, besides the archaeological trails, I can also enjoy photographing wildlife across the country, tasting some of the exclusive local cuisine, and relax myself in luxurious resort amidst the breath taking historical environment, albeit Machu Picchu alone will worth the travel. For those like-minded travelers, you should know what I’m talking about here. Don’t you?

Isn’t it tempting to witness the historical culture and modern infrastructure of Peru in person? Watch the video above and let me know if you are a travel bug that start thinking of Peru travel too… – Travel Feeder
