Another Airasia Free Seats promotion for 2013 Summer flights

Airasia curiously returns with another round of Free Seats promotion for the second time in 2 months! It never happened to Airasia as far as I could remember. After just slightly more than a month since its first Free Seats promotion in September, Airasia is running another round of Free Seats promotion this month. Booking starts from tomorrow, 29th October until 4th November 2012, for flights traveling in the same period of time between 1st May and 30th September next year 2013.  Off course, seats would be free, but still subject to airport tax and various fees.

This low fare promotion applies to AirasiaX, too! It mean flights to Japan, Australia, Beijing, Taiwan and Korea are included, but still no free seats are given away for long haul flights.

I did mention “curiously” at the beginning of this post, didn’t I? There could be 2 reasons why Airasia is giving away free seats twice in 2 months:

  1. Airasia is pushing hard on its sale for next Summer flights to give away more free seats to generate more advance cash from us, so as to strengthen its procurement of additional carriers from Airbus in coming months, and
  2. The sales in first Free Seats promotions last month was not up to its expectation, which means unsatisfactorily.

No matter what could be the reason behind, FREE SEATS is truly an alluring word to urge avid travelers and young budget travelers to book. One little piece of advise here: If you are uncertain to your date, period of travel, or destination with another 6 to 11 months down the road, wait until the next promotion comes then to decide, if you are willing to pay maybe another 10 to 30% extra. 🙂 Travel Feeder, your ultimate travel photo blog
